Senior Info

Congratulations! Your student has made it all the way to senior year!
While we do mail home information, this is an extra resource to clarify directions in regards to yearbook and graduation information.

YEARBOOK ITEMS:
As a senior, there is a section dedicated to the class in the yearbook.
Your student will need:
1-ONE “main” portrait – it does NOT need to be a ‘professional’ photo and our club does have the tools to take them. This file needs to be over 2MB in size and must be given to us on a USB stick/CD
***Without the full resolution, the image may appear blurry and pixelated when printed.
2-TWO or THREE (depending on the design this year) other photos that are usually from the past. Many students like to show ones from different ages that show “progression”. These can be emailed to me or sent in as printed out photos. If they are digital and on the same USB stick as the main photo, that is even better!
3-Order your yearbook as soon as possible to get the discounted rate.

Parent/Family/Friends may purchase “tribute spaces” that appear in the back of the yearbook with customized designs, messages, and photo collages.
If you have the know-how and time to design it as an Adobe Illustrator file, I can take that but it must be over 15MB in size.
^Having these skills is pretty rare.
It is suggest that you send in any photos (email or hard copies) to me and the text you’d like to appear (written or emailed).
Our team will design a draft, send it back to you via email for editing/suggesting, and then finalize something you like before it goes to print.
Any design suggestions are also welcomed for your space.

GRADUATION:
Q: Are caps and gowns paid for?
A: Yes, they are paid for by the school. Additional items can be ordered to be paired with the cap and gown such as a special tassel. That is paid for by the individual/family.

Q: Do you have to order anything from Jostens?
A: No, absolutely not. They are our partner with many school related items. There are other resources for printing invites and even getting class rings but Argyle stands behind their quality and service.

Q: Will graduation be inside or outside?
A: It is a decision made annually and determinations are often in the spring. As more information comes out, it will be relayed home through students on hard copy. You may also join the Google Classroom where a lot of senior information is shared. As COVID has evolved, recommendations and guidance changes as well which may limit options.
